But before I start telling you about what led to the banning of the book titled: The Bible is the black Man’s History book. Let’s roll back for a few moments. Let me address another copy-cat antics of the Black Hebrew Israelites that mirrored that of the English-Israelites.
Into this mire of pseudo-scholarship, taking and using scriptures out of context, enter a new player – The black Hebrew-Israelites. Black people have a weakness when it comes to white people. They copy verbatim everything that they see white people do. They never pause to question if what the white people are doing is right or wrong. They just follow the same example. This is exactly what the Hebrew-Israelites did. Their claim to Hebrew identity followed the same line of argument the Caucasians used. The script is the same with some modification to the content. But overall, they played it by the book.
The Historic Connection.
However, they don’t depend upon and use scriptures alone to support their claim. The try to build a historical connection as well. According to them, in 720 B.C. the Babylonians deported the Ten Tribes to Babylon. Quoting Herodotus, the Scythians (an Iranian people), were there at the same time. This included the tribe of the Saccæ. Scythia was a region of Central Eurasia in classical antiquity, occupied by the Eastern Iranians. Don’t ask me how this connects them to the Israelites, they don’t explain it and I have no idea of how they are connected.
As I mentioned earlier, most black people in the West have come up with theories to claim they are the descendants of the ancient Israelites. When asked to prove it, they quote Bible verses as proof of their Hebrew identity. But is this the right way to prove a person’s identity?
The fact of the matter is, you cannot prove Hebrew identity using the Bible verses. It just does not work that way. Any powerful nation on Earth with a rich history can do the same. For example, Caucasians also make similar claims using the Bible verses as evidence. As the Hebrew-Israelites use scriptures as proof of Hebrew identity, so do Caucasians. They also use Bible verses to claim that they are the descendants of the ancient Israelites.
A unique black history book, which reveals the True Identity of Black Americans
Why did Amazon remove from its shelves the book entitled: “The Bible is the Black Man’s History Book,” by Mawuli who is also known as Mawuli Mawuvi?
This is the first time in black history as well as in black people’s literature that a book written by a black man has been banned. What is more telling is this is a book written for black people by a black man about black people’s history. It is not about the History of those who feel threatened enough by it to ban it. Rather it is all about black people’s History – West African History, to be precise.
